Man held on attempted murder charges

A 34-year-old West Baltimore man was arrested and charged Monday for the April 2 shooting of a 36-year-old male, city police said.

Jamie Vaughn of the 2000 block of Braddish Avenue was arrested without incident early Monday, police said. Vaughn was charged with first-degree attempted murder  and is awaiting a court commissioner.

Police said the shooting occurred in the 1400 block of West Fayette Street.

The victim suffered from several gunshot wounds to the head and body, police said. Police said the victim remains in an area hospital.
