Three dead, two injured in five shootings

Three people were killed and two others injured in five separate shootings that occurred between Wednesday night and Thursday evening, city police said.

The three fatal shootings occurred at 11:49 p.m. Wednesday in the 2300 block of West Coldspring Lane; 12:08 a.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of Greenmount Avenue; and 7:10 p.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of West Mulberry Street, police said.

The victims included a 23-year-old man who died at the hospital, a 29-year- man who was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, and a 40-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Two other shootings left two men injured with gunshot wounds – one who was 20 and the other who was 30.

The first shooting occurred at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday in the unit block of Bruce Street, police said. They said the second victim was shot while walking in the 4700 block of Harford Road at 2:24 a.m. Thursday.

Anyone with information on the fatal shootings is asked to call the Baltimore Police Department’s Homicide detectives at 410-396-2100. Those with information on the non-fatal shootings are asked to call the Baltimore Police Department’s Citywide Shooting detectives at 410-396-2221.
