A pedestrian was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing Eastern Avenue in Essex, police said.
Police identified the victim as Thomas Marshall Ross II, 49, of the 300 block of Folcroft Street in Baltimore.
Police said the Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene around 5:23 p.m. Tuesday when a 2003 Ford F-150 exiting Maryland Route 702 onto Eastern Boulevard struck Ross as he was crossing the street.
Ross was transported to Franklin Square Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford remained at the scene, police said.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continues to investigate the incident.
