City man shot and killed

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in the 1800 block West Saratoga Street, city police said.

Officers were called to the area after reports of a shooting, police said. They said upon arriving at the scene, officers received information that the suspect had possibly ran into a home in the area.

Police said officers surrounded the home at about 5 p.m., but within an hour they had determined that the suspect was not inside the location. The investigation is ongoing.

The victim was taken to University of Maryland shock trauma where he was pronounced deceased, police said.
