A 54-year-old Edgewood man was killed Friday when a truck struck his car on Philadelphia Road near Hospital Drive, police said.
Police said Jose Cruz of the 1200 block of Hanson Road was travelling eastbound on Philadelphia Road in a 2002 Honda Civic when he crossed the middle line and collided with an Isuzu cargo box truck travelling in the westbound lane.
After the initial crash, police said, a Ford Crown Victoria traveling eastbound hit Cruz’s car and pushed it into another vehicle. The truck driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the Ford was uninjured, police said.
