Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a former mental health worker on charges of second-degree rape and other sex offenses, county police said.
Police said the charges against Michael Cabanalan, 35, stem from alleged incidents that occurred while the victim was being treated at Sheppard Pratt, where Cabanalan was employed as a nurse. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.
Police are asking anyone with additional information, or anyone who believes they may be a victim, to contact detectives at 410-887-7720 or the Department of Social Services at 410-887-8463.
