Two teenagers were killed Sunday in a crash along Holly Neck Road near Rocky Point Park south of Essex, county police said.
The incident occurred at about 12:50 a.m., when a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu traveling westbound left the roadway and struck at least one tree, police said.
The driver, 18-year-old Austin Lautenschlager, and a rear passenger, 19-year-old David Santos III, were both pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The investigation into this crash remains ongoing, police said.
