After a 5-hour rain delay, the Orioles were able to grind out a win against the visiting team, the Kansas City Royals.

I attended the Baltimore Orioles vs Kansas City Royals on April 3, 2024. The game was scheduled to start at 1:05 p.m. However, due to heavy rains, the game was delayed to 6:05 p.m. This is the entrance of Camden Yards deserted at around 2:30 p.m.

As the rains began to pour down on anxious fans. You could still find many fans waiting in the cars hoping for the weather to change. Showing the dedication of Orioles fans coming to support their team. Showing the passion these fans have in the early stages of the season.

This being one of the many fans in attendance I had the pleasure to speak with. Her name is Shy she did not feel comfortable sharing her last name. Shy Said “I left at the end of the bottom of the fifth inning, my seat was wet and was too cold.”

However, the weather didn’t seem to bother these fans. As one of the fans is wearing a short-sleeved Orioles jersey and enjoying the game. Showing that in cold or rain the Orioles have determined fans that will make the best of any situation. Sadly, the stadium appears quite empty.

I was quite privileged to have one of my close friends attend the game with me. She has been a long-time Orioles fan. Her name is Danielle, and she also didn’t feel comfortable sharing her last name. She dressed up ready for any weather conditions thrown her way.

This is one of the entrances to the stadium. Danielle and I left in the Bottom of the 6th inning. We had thought the game was over after Kansas City was leading 2-0 going into the 7th inning. We hoped for the Orioles to pull off a miracle as we departed.

As me and Danielle leave the game. We would watch the game on our phones as we drove away. Come to our surprise, the Orioles scored 2 runs in the 8th and 9th innings. This would be enough to win the game. This is a photo we took before departing.
