The Baltimore Count Police Department were awarded Law Enforcement Accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), the department announced.
The CALEA award is given to law enforcement agencies that show gold standard in policing.
According to Baltimore County police, an agency must maintain its accredited status by always remaining in compliance with CALEA standards
This is the county’s 11th award of national accreditation. The police department was first accredited in 1984.
