Two men fatally shot; third victim in stable condition

Two men were fatally shot in Baltimore Monday morning and a third victim was in stable condition at a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to his body, city police said.

Police said patrol officers were in the area of Cardiff Avenue and Broening Highway when they heard gunshots coming from the 6100 block of Cardiff Avenue.

Once they arrived, officers saw that the first victim was shot in the body and the second victim was shot in the head, police said. Police indicated that both men were 35 years old. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Later, a 33-year-old male walked into a hospital for a gunshot wound to the body, police said. They said the man received  treatment and is in stable condition.

The case is still being investigated and homicide detectives are working with witnesses to identify a suspect, police said.  Police said they are also trying to determine a possible motive.
