Man fatally shot near North Calhoun Street

A 40-year-old man died from gunshot wounds he sustained Saturday afternoon, Baltimore City police said.

Police said they were called to the 1400 block of North Calhoun Street to investigate gunfire. After searching the area officers found the male victim suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1500 block of Leslie Street.

The victim was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Medical Center where he was pronounced dead not long after arrival.

Police said that anyone with information is urged to contact homicide detectives, at 410-396-2100.
