The Howard County Recreation & Parks Department is adding ADA-accessible pathways and parking to advance Centennial Park South in Ellicott City.

The lower restroom facility, boat rental area and pathway section will be part of the project’s improvements. There will also be construction of the ADA-accessible parking facility; and the deteriorating wooden retaining walls will be replaced.

“These improvements not only maintain the existing amenities at Centennial Park but improve access for our residents and visitors with disabilities,” Howard County Executive Calvin Ball said.

The park, including the South upper restroom facility, will remain open during the project. The South lower restroom facility, boat rental area and pathway from the boat ramp to the amphitheater will be closed during this time.
