A 16-year-old male suffered non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot in the head Monday night, city police said.
Investigators said they believe the victim was struck by a stray bullet and was not the intended target.
The incident occurred in the 3700 block of Belle Avenue in Baltimore when the teen exited a vehicle with his father around 9:30 p.m., police said. The victim’s father transported him to urgent care when the victim complained that he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head.
From there, doctors located a bullet under the skin of his skull before the boy was transported to a local hospital for more treatment, according to police.
