The arrest is tied to the shooting death of a 64-year-old maintenance worker last month.

According to police, the victim had entered the suspect’s apartment and was asked to leave. Despite complying, the suspect allegedly shot the victim as he was exiting, police said. The victim was discovered by police at about 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 13.
