Howard County executive seeking applicants for Public Works Board

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball is seeking volunteers to serve the Public Works Board, which will make recommendations to the director of public works on infrastructure projects.

Eligible candidates must be 18 years or older to apply and will have to attend board meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the George Howard Building, located at 3430 Court House Drive in Ellicott City.

The board consists of five members with duties including making recommendations on policies, practices, and plans to the director of public works, the county executive and the county council.

Applicants must submit a resume and brief letter explaining why they want to serve on the board to Kimberly Pruim at kpruim@howardcounty.org or by mail to: Howard County Government, Office of the County Executive, Attn: Kimberly Pruim, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21043. The deadline to apply is May 14.
