Baltimore County Police officers evacuated several Towson businesses Saturday after a bomb threat was made at the Towson Cinemark in the 100 block of East Joppa Road.
Police first evacuated the theater, which had received the threat around 6:03 p.m., as a safety precaution. Other businesses also were asked to evacuate patrons and nearby roads in and around the East Joppa area were closed around 6:55 p.m. Bomb dogs were brought in, police said.
After a thorough search, police said no credible threat was found. However, police asked the public to avoid the area, while the investigation continued.
