Three people shot on Sunday; one seriously injured

Three people were shot Sunday in the 1800-1900 block of West Fayette Street, city police said. Homicide detectives have been notified due to injuries to one of the adult males.

Police said patrol officers were responding to an assault in progress call at about 3:54 p.m. when units heard multiple shots fired.  

On arrival officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1800 block of West Fayette Street and two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1900 block of West Fayette Street, police said.

Officers said that all shooting victims were transported by medics to local hospitals.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup, police say.
