Gov. Larry Hogan was joined today by Lt. Gov. Boyd K. Rutherford, Brig. Gen. Janeen Birckhead and Health Secretary Dennis Schrader to acknowledge the role of faith-based and community-based institutions in vaccine distribution across the state.

The governor said faith-based and community-based institutions continue to educate people on the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine, encouraging others to receive it.

He said the state surpassed 3 million COVID-19 vaccines as of today.

M&T Bank Stadium was converted into one of the state’s first mass vaccination sites over the winter and surpassed its goal of 100,000 vaccines distributed.
