Gov. Larry Hogan announced on Saturday that more than 60,000 COVID-19 vaccines are being administered each day as all Marylander 16 years and older can pre-register for an appointment at a mass vaccination site.

Hogan said the state is reporting 78,756 new vaccinations – a record one-day high – and a total of 2.9 million to day.

As the number for pre-registering for vaccination has exceeded 300,00, Hogan encouraged residents to continue to register for the vaccine.

By the end of April, he said that the mass vaccination sites will be opening and fully operational for the entire state. Each Marylander will be able to have the choice of two locations to receive vaccination, during their pre-registration, he said.

In Salisbury, the Eastern shore vaccination site has opened a no-appointment-necessary walk-up line for any Marylander, officials said, explaining that the rule will extend to other mass vaccination sites eventually. Those who haven’t received the vaccine should pre-register for an appointment.
