An investigation was being held by detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department on a shooting Saturday that left a 27-year-old man hospitalized.

Police said that shooting erupted in the 1100 block of Ingleside Avenue in Gwynn Oak just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The 27-year-old man reported to police that he ran to the 5600 block of the Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville after being shot. He called police.

Violent Crimes Unit detectives said anyone with information about the case should call the Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers, police said.

There is a reward offered up to $2000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses. The rewards are provided by the Metro Crime Stoppers, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government.

Anonymous tip can be sent to the Metro Crime Stoppers by phone, online or via mobile app. Phone: 1-866-7LOCKUP. Web tip: metrocrimestoppers.org. Mobile App: P3TIPS
