Baltimore County detectives investigate Essex shooting

Baltimore County Police Department detectives on Wednesday were investigating a two-day-old shooting in Essex.

Officers said the shooting erupted near Ashbridge and Hadwick drives just before 9 a.m. Monday. The victim told police he was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery.

The suspect’s vehicle was described as a grey four-door Honda. The victim was driven to the hospital for treatment.

The county’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating. Anyone with information should call police at 410-307-2020. Officers said a reward of up to $2000 may be provided for information that leads to arrests and charges in connection with felony offenses. The rewards are provided by the Metro Crime Stoppers, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government.
