A 50-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle along Merritt Boulvard near Westfield Road in Dundalk Friday, county police said.
Police said Melissa Leicht of the 7500 block of Westfield Road was attempting to cross Merritt Boulevard at about 8 p.m. when she was hit by a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo that was driving in the southbound direction. Leitch died at a nearby hospital, police said.
The driver remained at the scene. The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is currently investigating.
