A 26-year-old Joppa woman was killed Sunday night when she was walking on Pulaski Highway near Little Hill Gunpowder Falls, county police said.

Alexandra Justine Angel of the 12300 block of Pulaski Highway was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene, police said. The suspect vehicle, described as a dark colored vehicle, was also traveling westbound when it struck Angel, police said.

Police said Angel was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene to conduct a crash reconstruction and continue the investigation. Anyone with information is to immediately call 410-307-2020, police said.

Police ask anyone with information about the incidents to contact Metro Crime Stoppers tip line, at 1-866-7LOCKUP. You also may submit an anonymous online text-tip to Metro Crime Stoppers by visiting the MCS website, police said.
