Baltimore shooting leaves teen injured

A 17-year-old Baltimore male was injured in a shooting in the Central District, city police said Tuesday.

Police said the incident occurred at 11:44 a.m. in the 1600 block of Mount Royal Avenue. The male suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital, city police said.

Police believe that the victim was targeted, and the suspects shot the victim in the lower body.

Central District Shooting detectives responded to the scenes and urge anyone with information to reach out to the Central District Shooting detectives at 410-396-2411.

Police ask anyone who has information about these shootings to contact Metro Crime Stoppers’ tip line, at 1-866-7LOCKUP. If you want to submit an anonymous online text to Metro Crime Stoppers by visiting their website, Central District Police said.
