Central District stabbing leaves one dead, person of interest in custody

Baltimore City police on Wednesday were investigating the stabbing death of a 57-year-old woman in a Dolphin Street apartment.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 500 block of Dolphin Street at 9:23 p.m. Tuesday and found the woman unresponsive with stab wounds. Upon arrival, officers applied a tourniquet and administered CPR. However, when medical personnel arrived, they pronounced the woman dead.

Police said an adult male who was placed at the scene at the time of the stabbing was now in custody as a person of interest. 

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact Metro Crime Stoppers tip line, at 1-866-7LOCKUP. You also may submit an anonymous online text-tip to Metro Crime Stoppers by visiting the MCS website, police said.
