A man was arrested in Towson yesterday on charges of false imprisonment, first-degree assault, possession of a rifle by a felon, and other charges, according to county police.
Kraun Lamont Carter, 28, of the 4200 block of Glenarm Avenue in Baltimore is suspected of assaulting his ex-wife and refusing to let her leave her apartment in the 700 block of York Road in Towson, police said.
Carter drove the victim and her son to an area hospital. The son was not harmed in the alleged assault, police said.
Police said officers stopped Carter on the grounds of the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where a rifle was found in his vehicle.
Carter is now being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
