Baltimore County detectives on Sunday were still seeking new information that could lead to an arrest in a murder case that turned cold more than a decade ago.

On Valentine’s Day 2009, Towson University graduate Daniel Coverston was resting on his bed in his Towson apartment in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle in Baltimore. The 22-year-old was recovering from eye surgery when an unidentified person broke into his apartment and shot him in the back of the head, Baltimore County Homicide Detectives said.

Now, 12 years later, the case remains unsolved and police were asking anyone with information on the case, no matter how much or little, to come forward. A $15,000 reward is being offered to anyone who contacts Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland to divulge any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of Coverston’s murderer.

Tips made to the Metro Crime stoppers may remain anonymous and can be made by phone, website, or through the mobile app. Call 1-866-7LOCKUP or contact Web tip: https://www.tipsubmit.com/WebTips.aspx?AgencyID=629. The new mobile app is P3TIPS.
