Baltimore County police were investigating a fiery single-vehicle accident Monday night in Woodlawn that left one person dead and two with serious injuries.
Officers arrived around 8:40 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Woodlawn Drive and Jonas Way in Woodlawn after a 2011 BMW reportedly left the roadway, crashed into a utility pole and erupted into flames. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police said two passengers were rushed to local hospitals, one with critical injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries. No identities were released.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team was investigating.
