Baltimore County police opened a homicide investigation into the death of a Dundalk woman who was found dead in her home last Sunday.

Police discovered Beverley Ann Bedell, 76, of the 2800 block of Page Drive in Dundalk while performing a welfare check that had been requested by Bedell’s family after they had failed to get in contact with her, police said.

According to police, her death was ruled a homicide by traumatic injury by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Homicide detectives are looking into whether she was targeted, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information to call 410-307-2020
