Woman fatally struck by car in Dundalk

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle when crossing Wise Avenue in Dundalk on Friday evening, county police said.

The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. when the victim, Evelyn Cornell, was struck by a 2019 Nissan Altima that was traveling eastbound on Wise Avenue, county police said. They said the driver of the Nissan remained at the scene.

Cornell was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead, police said.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team are still investigating this incident.
