Stabbing death is Baltimore’s 300th homicide of the year

A 44-year-old man died this morning after suffering from several stabbing wounds, according to the Baltimore City Police Department.

Northwest District officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Burleith Avenue at 7:44 a.m. to investigate the stabbing of an unidentified man. The victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel at Sinai Hospital, police said.

A 39-year-old unidentified male was arrested in connection to the homicide, police said. An altercation between the suspect and the victim, who have family ties, took place at the victim’s residence, police said.

This fatal stabbing is the 300th homicide in the city this year, according to The Baltimore Sun.
