Two victims of gun violence were located in the Northwest and Northeast districts of Baltimore on Saturday, Baltimore City Police said.

A Northwest District patrol officer located a man suffering from gunshot wounds in the 3100 block of Spaulding Avenue around 11:36 a.m. The officer was in the 5100 block of Park Heights when he heard gunfire and raced to the scene.

Police rushed the man to an area hospital but he was pronounced dead by medical personnel shortly after arrival.

Hours earlier, at about 2:21 a.m., Northeast District officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Erdman Avenue in response to a reported shooting. Officers were rerouted to a hospital where a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.

Police were investigating both shootings. Anyone with information should contact homicide detectives at 410-396-2100, or to use the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-866-7Lockup for anonymity.
