City police investigate shootings

Baltimore City police on Tuesday were investigating reports of five different shootings throughout the area that resulted in the deaths of two men and injuries of several others.

Tyrek Harvin, 21, was found around 1:08 p.m. Monday at his home in the 2400 block of Maisel Court with a gunshot wound to the head. Harvin was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime. Southern District homicide detectives were investigating the murder.

In the Southwest District, police found an unidentified man unconscious with gunshot wounds around 8:30 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Whistler Avenue. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other unidentified victims, including a woman found in the 400 block of East North Avenue in the Eastern District on Monday, were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. The other shootings occurred in the Southern and Northeast districts.
