Five men, three of them younger than 20, suffered gunshot wounds in the 2300 block of Greenmount Avenue early Tuesday, Baltimore police said.

Police said an initial investigation showed that the men were playing dice when an unidentified suspect in a vehicle began shooting at the group.

Rushed to area hospitals were a 53-year-old with gunshot wounds to the neck and head, a 19-year-old who was shot in the foot and leg, an 18-year-old with leg wounds, a 26-year-old who was shot in the shoulder and a 17-year-old with a chest wound. The condition of the men was unknown, but homicide detectives have joined the case because of the nature of the crime.

Anyone with information should phone 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup, police said.
