A 39-year-old food delivery man was shot in the head in the 600 block of Chestnut Hill Avenue early Monday, Baltimore police said.

City police responded to a report of a shooting and found the man just after midnight in Baltimore’s Waverly neighborhood. He was shot in the head as he attempted to deliver food and robbed, officers said.

Medics rushed the victim to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition. Officers said that homicide detectives have joined the case because of the severity of the man’s injuries.

Anyone with information should phone 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
