Woman fatally shot in head, two men wounded

An unidentified woman died and two others were wounded Saturday morning after suffering from gunshot wounds in the 2500 block of West Lexington Street, city police said. 

The female was shot in the head and an unidentified male was shot in the body at approximately 5:26 a.m., according to police.

Police were called to an area hospital at approximately 5:33 a.m., where a third victim, a 31-year-old man, was suffering from gunshot wounds to the stomach and arm, police said. 

Both men are being treated at an area hospital, police said. 

Southwest District detectives are investigating this incident.
