Baltimore Country police are searching for a driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a woman in Rosedale Friday night.

Police said the person was driving a red 2011 Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Pulaski Highway near Rosedale Avenue at about 10:36 p.m. when the vehicle struck a 20-year-old woman and fled the scene, police said.

The female victim, Angel Diamond Wingate of the 900 block of Dalton Avenue in Dundalk, was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was later located abandoned with significant front end damage on Interstate 695 at Route 702, police said.

In a separate case, police said they are investigating another hit-and-run crash, this one on Liberty Road Friday night, that left a pedestrian seriously injured.

The female victim was crossing Liberty Road near Marriottsville Road just before 8 p.m. when she fell to the ground and was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound, police said.

The driver of the vehicle made no attempt to stop and continued driving westbound, police said.

The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
