A 21-year-old Baltimore man is being held without bail at the Central Booking Intake Facility after being arrested on Aug. 14 for first-degree murder, city police said.

Police said John Brown of the 6600 block of Knottwood Court fatally shot Yohannes Carr, 31, in the 2400 block of Etting Street at about 10:28 p.m. Aug. 6.

Homicide detectives identified Brown as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. Brown was arrested by Warrant Apprehension Task-Force detectives eight days after the incident.
