Police investigating Southern District murder

The Baltimore City Police was investigating reports of a shooting in the 300 block of South Monroe Street.

Southern District officers arrived at about 7:44 a.m. to find an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound to the head. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said.

Homicide detectives said anyone with information should call 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
