Arrest made for Northwest homicide

Metropolitan Police on Tuesday arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of a Northwest District of Columbia man.

Karlos Kinney, 20, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder while armed. Police said the shooting took place on April 30 in the 900 block of New Jersey Avenue, NW.

Police said they found Resha Blount, 28, of NW at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday inside a home with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on arrival to a local hospital.
