The Baltimore County Police Department was searching for a 30-year-old man in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old boy in Halethorpe earlier this year.

The suspect was identified as Robert William Taylor Jr., of the 1900 block of Griffis Avenue, and described as 5-foot-8, 165 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos covering his neck. Police said Taylor joined in a dispute the 14-year-old boy was having with an employee at the America’s Best Wings in the 3500 block of Washington Boulevard just before 10 p.m. on Jan. 24, police said.

The dispute was reportedly over a purchase made by the 14-year-old and ended with Taylor stabbing the victim multiple times. The boy was rushed to a local hospital and survived the injuries, police said.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Taylor on Jan. 25, charging him with first- and second-degree assault. Officers from the Wilkens Precinct were investigating.

Anyone with information about Taylor Jr. should contact detectives at 410-307-2020. Callers have the option to remain anonymous, and a $2000 reward was being offered by the Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland for any information that leads to Taylor’s arrest.
