The Baltimore Police Department was investigating the shooting of a 28-year-old woman.
Northwest District patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 4800 block of Reisterstown Road Tuesday at about 1:57 a.m. Officers located the woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to an area hospital where she was listed in stable condition, police said.
A preliminary investigation found that the woman was in the area talking to friends when she heard several gunshots. The woman realized she was shot when she attempted to flee, police said.
