A former Baltimore Ravens player was released from jail on a $20,000 bond in connection with a domestic violence incident last week.

Baltimore County police arrested Ufomba Kamalu, 27, of Caerleon Court in Randallstown on Thursday on a warrant for a domestic violence charge. The former defensive end was charged with second-degree assault.

Officers were called to the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road around 10 a.m. last Wednesday. After speaking with the victim, officers determined an altercation between Kamalu and the woman escalated and became physical.

Kamalu allegedly assaulted the woman, leaving her with visible injuries. He was not present at the scene when officers arrived.

Police were investigating.
