Baltimore City Police were searching for a 26-year-old man in connection with an armed carjacking in December.
Members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force were searching for Desmond Sims of the 3800 block of Boarman Avenue. Officers alleged that the 5-foot-10, 150-pound Sims robbed a person of their cellphone at gunpoint, tried to steal the victim’s money from an ATM, and stole the victim’s car on Dec. 30, 2019.
Police said the carjacking occurred in the 700 block of N. Howard Street.
Detectives ask anyone with information about Sims’ whereabouts to call at (410) 637-8970.
