Two Baltimore City shooting victims managed to walk into area hospitals Monday for treatment, but one died of his wounds, Police said.
Officers said 18-year-old Riyad Campbell walked into a Southwest District hospital with gunshot wounds to the body. Police had canvassed the 2400 block of Tolley Street at 12:02 a.m. Monday looking for the shooting victim. He died at the hospital, police said.
Another shooting was reported at about 1:40 a.m. Monday and the victim walked into an area hospital of the Southeast District, officers said. The 28-year-old male had been shot in the leg in the 3100 block of McElderry Street. The man was in surgery and doctors expected him to survive.
Homicide and Southeastern District detectives were investigating the incidents.
