Baltimore City Police were investigating several weekend shootings with the first one erupting one minute before midnight Friday when three people were shot on North Chapel Street.
Police responded to a ”shotspotter alert” at 11:59 p.m. Friday in the 1800 block of North Chapel Street. Officers found a 30-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. She was rushed to an area hospital and listed in serious condition.
A short time later, police said that a 17-year-old man walked into an area hospital with gunshot wounds from a shooting on North Chapel Street. And around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, an Eastern District patrol officer was flagged down by a 35-year-old man who said he had been shot in his right arm in the 1800 block of North Chapel shortly before midnight Friday.
As police investigated the North Chapel shooting, officers responded to a shooting at 2:20 a.m. Saturday in the 2400 block of Loyola Southwest, where a man was found with gunshot wounds to the upper chest. He was rushed to a local hospital and listed in serious condition.
At 1:05 p.m., officers found another man suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds in the 1300 block of N. Ellamont Street. And four minutes later, officers found a 36-year-old woman with gunshot wounds in the 200 block of Paca Street. The woman was listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
Police responded to another shooting at 3:15 p.m. in the 400 block of N. Luzerne Avenue. Officers said a man was shot in the left arm and was rushed to an area hospital in good condition.
