Baltimore County Police said one person was killed when he lost control of a stolen Honda Accord and crashed into a utility pole off Falls Road.
Police said the vehicle was reported stolen out of Baltimore City early Sunday.
A preliminary investigation determined that the Honda was traveling north on Falls Road, north of Padonia Road, just before 7 a.m. Sunday when the driver lost control and the car left the roadway on the right shoulder. The Honda struck a utility pole and overturned, ejecting the driver from the vehicle, officers said.
Investigators speculated that speed may have been a factor in the crash. Also, the driver probably was not wearing a seat belt, officers said.
The driver has not yet been identified.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team continued to try to identify the driver and determine the factors that contributed to the crash.
