Teen arrested for last week’s shooting

Baltimore City Police arrested a teenager in connection with a shooting last Monday in the 5000 block of Truesdale Avenue that left one woman in the hospital.

Malik Bell, 16, was apprehended Monday by Baltimore City School Police at Patterson High School. Officers said he was caught in possession of a loaded handgun.

Police said the shooting occurred last Monday at 1:21 p.m. in the Northeast District. Police found a woman with gunshot wounds in the upper and lower body. She was rushed to a local hospital, where her condition is unknown.

 Warrant Apprehension detectives took Bell to Central Booking, where he will be charged as an adult for attempted first-degree murder and several handgun violations, police said.
