Mason Court shooter arrested

A suspect in a shooting last Friday in the 300 block of Mason Court was located, arrested and charged on Tuesday, Baltimore City Police said.

Gary Lamont Watkins, 54, of the 800 block of Wildwood Parkway, was being held in the Central Booking Intake Facility on first-degree murder charges. He was arrested for the shooting of a 23-year-old woman and a man; both were unidentified.

Both victims were rushed to a local hospital after the shooting around 5:15 p.m. last Friday, Southeast District patrol officers said. The man died.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
