Teen struck by car, dies; driver arrested

Jennifer Jones arrested in car accident

Baltimore County police have charged a Millersville woman in connection with the death of a 15-year-old who was struck by a car that drove onto a sidewalk in Dundalk.

The driver, identified as Jennifer Jean Jones, 30, of the 300 block of Chalet Drive in Millersville, was charged with negligent manslaughter by vehicle. Jones was being held on a denied bail status at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections.

Police said Jones was driving an Altima Nissen when Trinity Lynn Brooks of the 1800 block of East Avenue in Dundalk was walking on a sidewalk in the 2100 block of Delvale Avenue at Martell Avenue around 5:30 p.m. The car drove onto the sidewalk and struck Brooks, who was pronounced dead by Baltimore County Fire Department personnel.

Jones was taken into police custody but her identity was withheld until she was formally charged, police said.
